# that's not far from the truth
I had a ZX81 and aged 9 or so I used to to make a picture of a dog having a piss. Three frames of animation too. A full stop printed in different places then goto 10 etc.

# programming the ZX81 was like learning a song on a guitar
it only had 1k and I didn't have a tape recorder so I'd learn whole tricks for it to go - like animate a dog, or make a starfield etc, and then be able to perform them roughly from memory.

# Rob Manuel - using computers to make obscenity since 1982
christ, when I write it down and think I've basically had a 30 year obsession of mixing technology and puerile humour it makes me wonder if I need a new hobby. LIke say, knitting swearwords or something.

# Knitting swearwords is a lot less puerile, I agree.
