# I'm not bothered really
All they needed to dow as stop ripping their customers off and they'd still be fine.

# Well, that and not own 4 shops within 200 yards of each other.

# This is true enough.
I work in a shopping centre in a CeX store. There are 3 Game stores and 1 Gamestation within 5 minutes walk of each other.

Absurd.

Some people I know are saying things like "well, it's good business for us". While possibly true, I still feel awful for the folks who are going to be out of work.

I reckon HMV will be the next big loser of the recession.

Yeah I don't get why everyone is up in arms now. They used to fuck customers over a barrel. They'd fuck them with new game prices, they'd fuck them at trade-in, they'd fuck them with second hand prices. It was rare indeed I'd buy in GAME and it became rarer with the realisation that the same game could be purchased on line for substantially less.

I think if they'd cut their stores down, hedged their bets with a proper online web store (not offering the same shitty deals as their shops), and a proper digital download service they might have been in a better place.

As it is they're just one more failed business. I'm more sorry to see Woolworths go which seemed to try a lot harder on price but was screwed by their own supply chain (as was Zavvi).
