From what I've seen looking back I don't really agree with the censorship, even when it's Mrs Batshit Insane herself. But I don't think it's really something worth getting that worked up about enough to leave. Guy did something we didn't like, once, he didn't smash a baby into sauce with a hammer.

but I've run around these boards screaming and throwing shit at the walls with barely a moment of worthwhile contribution for years.
It saddens me to see that there are others who actually contribute more than me being treated with much less respect.
As for Batshit Express, a lot is lost in translation. Cirencester is a strange town.

b3ta is not a democracy; you are not free to feel you are able to post absolutely any content you want because it is your human right or some such bollocks, and nor have you ever been able to do so. It's not censorship, it's more along the lines of what the powers that be want on the board. In this instance the mod made a decision, and the teddy bears have been flying out of the pram ever since for some anal reason.
If you can't live with that then no one is forcing anyone to be here.
Edit: Oh and yes "Mrs Batshit Insane herself" is very apt, and also may be a clue

as for generating hate and ill will, you're very good at that yourself so don't fucking start

On the other hand, I did have the impression that Hedgehog was getting a bit disenchanted with b3ta even before this. I'll miss him, he was a funny guy, but there's no sense in anyone sticking around if they're not enjoying the place anymore.

like Jahled said, "b3ta is not a democracy; you are not free to feel you are able to post absolutely any content you want because it is your human right or some such bollocks, and nor have you ever been able to do so." Absolutely correct.
But the feeling for many years, since Rob had the argument about Derek and Clive, was that free speech was very much the order of the day.
And whether we like what we see (I speak collectively as a linguistic point, I don't assume backing) or not, it has been what we are accustomed to. And those who care about b3ta as a community are right to be dismayed by what has occurred recently.

All this happened early AM btw, grumpy heads may have contributed to much flouncing and dramatic posts. He's one of the loveliest blokes i've met off this place, so I hope he's not long gone
