I remember thinking the light was a bit odd that morning.
However, the removals dudes had arrived early that morning, so no time to gawp, sadly. Saw a very nice annular eclipse in Tokyo in May, though. Had to use a metallic sweet wrapper as a filter for my camera...

Amazing how little sun you ned to keep a good level of lighting.
In Sadelaide, it was a little way off total, so it just had that weird twilight, but with the shadows at the wrong angle thing.
