EDIT: Also, why do some labels read, 'REAL' Mayonaisse? Is the world overrun with fake mayo?

Real contains vegetable oil, vinegar, lemon and/or lime juice, and egg yolks
non Real doesn't. Like the vegan ones don't have eggs

Right, well I guess part of the question is why does mayo need to
advertise it's authenticity, while most other condiments don't. We never see Real Mustard, for example. An exception, "Real tomato Ketchup, Eddie?" ~ Clark Griswold.
