So if they're checking lorry permits at the Kent border... does that mean there'll be tailbacks at the border?Will East Sussex or Surrey have to become a lorry park for all those lorries waiting to enter the Kent lorry park?

Perhaps they should look into *ahem* building a wall?I don't have much faith in any of the infrastructure required for anything post Brexit being anything near ready. How can you patrol the entirety of the Kent border in - what is it now - three and a bit months? They would need cameras, people, infrastructure etc etc. Now scale that up to every single industry in the UK.

Look, the government has spent 4+ years and loads of taxpayer money working on this problem and likely have wonderful new systems and technology all sorted that'll fix everything and they're going to unveil it all ANY MOMENT NOWRoI/NI/England border, Kent border, Calais border... all good.
