Why aren't the yanks more consistent with their incorrect elemental pronunciations?
Surely the penultimate syllable of each and every element should be omitted. So... that's...
antiny, arnic, aluminum, selenum,
And hydgen and oxgen and nitgen and rhenum,
And kel, neodymum, neptunum, germanum,
And ron, americum, ruthenum, uranum,
Europum, zirconum, lutetum, vanadum,
And lanthnum and osmum and astine and radum,
And gold(!) and protactinum and indum and gallum,
And idine and thorum and thulum and thallum.
!- I'm not sure what to do with monosyllabic elements.
There's so many elements left to be dishonoured, it might be kind of fun for some but I'm not fucking bothered.
