# We should definitely do something about climate change whilst also opening more coal fired power stations.
Things I have been thinking about:
- there must be a decent way of extracting CO2 from the atmosphere (ideally planting more trees but if not, some kind of extraction process)
- someone should invent something that stops fat from getting into underground tunnels. Preferably something that goes in the sink pipe and filters it at source

#
Trees and also industrial scale extraction if the storage part can work which is a big if.

Grease traps already exist like these. You could also use less fat in cooking or remove more before washing cooking pots and pans.

# Every home should have those. I wonder why they don't? Just needs to be made smaller, easier to install and a bit cheaper.
I definitely am conscious of how much food waste is left over. We try very hard to make it zero. My wife is always telling me to scrape the pans before washing but sometimes I just forget because I am a stupid male man.

# People are trying to solve this
Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) has been around for a while, but it costs more than renewable energy. Personally I think we should be investing heavily in fusion and building more nuclear. They are the only way to have reliable and cheap power for the future. Wind and solar needs energy storage and there is no practical solution for that right now (we would have to sequester all battery production for years just to do the UK for example) The world isn't doomed and there are solutions, it's just that some people refuse to countenance anything nuclear because it isn't "natural", as if the sun wasn't natural.

As for the fat, stop chucking it down the sink.
