can anyone suggest a nice but not too poncey/pricey soho bar/pub to have my works leaving do on thursday (could also do food, but not essential) - not my normal haunt and didn't get much help on messenger :)

he knows all the places. The John Snow as a pub is ver' cheap but it depends how many people you're trying to squeeze in as it's always busy.

off Longacre (more Covent Garden-way) is swanky and has earlyish happy-hour and plenty of totty and there's a great (but bit pricey) mexican restaurant right above.
(those were the days before my knot-tying mind you :)

I know Bar Logic has a basement (called Sub-Logic). It's on Argyle Street, v.close to Oxford St. tube.
Not sure if Bar Logic does food though.
