# PCI TV cards!
(Oo - I used the 'subject' line properly for maybe the first time - yay me)

Any of you hungover chaps and chapesses know of a dual-standard TV Card that does both PAL-I and NTSC? Spent the last bleedin' hour trawling the interweb and it was a right cunt getting them dolpins back in the water I can tellya.

# erm, any bt848/878 based card
should do it. Though the 878 is the better of the two.
I have a 40 quid Prolink Pixelview PlayTV Pro which is 878 based and does PAL/NTSC/SECAM, analogue cable, TV, FM Radio, Composite video and SVHS.

The WinTV cards use the same chips and have the same capabilities but cost a lot more!

# Wierd.
The bt878 does get a mention, particularly with the likes of the Mercury card (28-33 quid inc remote) and the Jetway card, but I don't go near Jetway stuff if I can help it.
Where'd you get yours from? PC World = shite.

# my hauppage
does secam, ntsc-m, pal-m,n,ncombo and bghidk.
if that helps...

# Did you
just have an accident on your keyboard there? :o) Wot's 'bghidk?'
And is your hauppauge the wintv Go?

# pal bghidk
is the one you use in the uk for tv reception...!
i've got an old wintv pci.
i think the go doesnt have a remote, and is mono rather than nicam stereo.

# Grr. Then why doesn't
any of the hauppauge product packaging OR the website say multi-standard? Or am I supposed to think that because it doesn't then I should assume it does.

Confyowsed.

(I thought PAL-I was the UK version? No matter :)

# edited about 8 times:
pal-i is part of the pal-bghidk, which are all pretty similar.
