Maybe....maybe, the addition of the black to the union flag, is not just to represent the multi-cultures in the UK, but also to keep the welsh happy as the black is on The St Davids Cross.

according to mrflagSt David's cross is a yellow cross on blue background tho - so unless yellow gets put in they're still getting shafted.
And for the record, I think the welsh dragon is very cool - and a nice counterpoint to St George! :)
