he's going to lick the head off and then refuse to touch the rest of it until you buy him some more expensive, luxury beer.

to get a cat to be sick where you want it though?
I spend a lot of time chasing ours (who are always throwing up) with bits of newspaper and they always back off and throw up on the floor.
