# haha!
wonderful!

GOOD MORNING THREADJACK: which London airport is most convenient for the 18th bash, as I will most likely go straight from airport.
(, Wed 9 Jul 2003, 11:07, archived)
# bristol
(, Wed 9 Jul 2003, 11:08, archived)
# well if you fly into bristol or gloucester
i will meet you and you can come for tea at my house.

it won't get you to the bash, but my battenburg cake has yet to be beaten by anyone at the womens institute.

# it's probably easier to get in from there
than stanstead
(, Wed 9 Jul 2003, 11:09, archived)
# seriously, probably heathrow
cos then it's straight* up the picaddilly line to king's cross. gatwick is a fuck, stanstead is worse.

*well, i say straight, 45 minutes, 197 stops, busking iranian children and hammersmith isn't exactly straight...

# lol!
I shall keep this thread and ponder the options vs price thing. To be honest though, I don't care if I have to sell everything I own in order to get there!

How exciting.

# If you can get
a flight to City airport, that's by far the closest. Otherwise it's much of a muchness really, go for the cheapest.

You should arrive early and come for dinner first though. Not a good place to be on an empty stomach.

# City it is
Am arriving a little early and sneaking of with Dog, am just trying to avoid a huge train fare from Stanstead :)

# Oh then
you can come to the Pre-bash bash and everything.
Its all so dashed marverllous.

edit: actually, she's polish, and i met her when i was travelling last year, and she's very sweet, and you'll get to meet her anyway as she keeps pestering me to go along to a bash...

# is she anything to do with the polish squatter we appear to be getting?
(, Wed 9 Jul 2003, 11:25, archived)

# yeah
I'm trying to avoid that train fare, unless flight+train fares are cheaper than a fare to City :)
thankyou :)

# train fair is about a tenner in total...
no idea how much for the flight - 1 quid + taxes probably from ryanair...
(, Wed 9 Jul 2003, 11:13, archived)
# ooh! I forgot about Ryanair!
I hate them, but this is neither the time nor place for principles
(, Wed 9 Jul 2003, 11:15, archived)
# ryanair are the only
airline that flies to cornwall, so forced to use them when I want to go home, they're ok as long as you don't buy anything on board..
