we paid it. I wasn't terribly fussed about agreeing a level at which we could pay it back - we'll just eat beans for a while and be richer the rest of the year.

By Law, they have to accept any reasonable repayment scheme that you suggest.

This is how there are many people paying off loans at £2 a month for the next 400 years.

fortunately someone had moved out and someone else in during the period so when I told them this they scrapped it all and started again as if nothing had happened.
