and they actually wrote a fantastic story (for a kids' film) for it, so it's something special, and it still stands up. there's not a thing they could do to make toy story a better film.

I haven't seen it in ages and I wasn't a huge fan of it even then.
I think they improved it immensely with Toy Story 2 - apart from adding that absolutely fucking awful sickeningly bittersweet song in the middle.
I am fully aware that Toy Story 2 relies on the first film to be as good as it is.
