opinions you say..
well I reckon that the current state of the economy should actually allow us ample funding for social security and investment in the future in terms of tax rebates on research and development funding, if the top 10% of tax payers where taxed at a graduated rising rate.
But it's just my opinion

The bugger of it
is that the top 10% of earners are not on PAYE and can afford to have good accountants or to move abroad. Therefore they will not pay higher taxes.

I was going to continue with specific policies
on off shore tax avoidance schemes.
