the dimple in his tongue would to show of the ultimate futility of the struggle against the fear. symbolic of all our struggles?

that all oneofthemany stated is true except for "the dimple in his tongue" unless i subconciously made the duck's bill look like a tongue.

lack of freshers week at the start, heavy workload.
i really don't think this is the place for me. i'm considering dropping out already.

but i'm the most depressed i've ever been right now, and it's getting worse by the day. how the hell some of these people know so much math when we're all straight out of alevels is ridiculous

i'll see how it goes. my mum is coming up tonight and i'm going to talk with her, but there's been big situations with my family in the last 12 month, and i think all my emotional buildup is precipitating out now. gah, it's a strange situation to be in.

I'm sure you can catch up.
Anyway, other people can seem a lot more confident and knowledgeable than they really are.
Especially at Oxford.

they're all fuckers. they must be, they're at oxbridge, where everyone is an inbred posho cunt*.
ignore them and ask for help from your tutor at all neccessary points, don't worry about how it looks.

choose a large-ish city. i'd recommend manchester (if you like being shot at), edinburgh or leeds.

99.9% of CERTAIN it'll be edinburgh or durham (newcastle's only 10mins on the train, before you point out how small it is, and i'd rather have that nice quiet separation and only have to go to the big city when i want to).

i was in edinburgh for an hour in august and thought, yes, it really is very very lovely. so i need to go and visit the university in january or so when they make an offer so i can choose. edinburgh would give me a fancier degree, though, but i'm not sure if i'd like their course as much.

it's nice. but york's nicer. but durham's a better uni, i think.

but york uni (from what i could see in the prospectus) looked like a big concrete doodad. i wasn't too keen on the course at york.

don't even do law.
And Edinburgh do silly Scottish law.
Won't it be funny if we're at Durham together.
