# i decided i'd far rather
go somewhere full of normal people and have fun instead. so that's just what i'll do.

# where?
choose a large-ish city. i'd recommend manchester (if you like being shot at), edinburgh or leeds.

# i read manchester's prospectus and it was quite clear they didn't want me there.
99.9% of CERTAIN it'll be edinburgh or durham (newcastle's only 10mins on the train, before you point out how small it is, and i'd rather have that nice quiet separation and only have to go to the big city when i want to).

# Edinburgh is good.
I did my BSc there and loved it.

# even though it's 420 or so miles from home,
i was in edinburgh for an hour in august and thought, yes, it really is very very lovely. so i need to go and visit the university in january or so when they make an offer so i can choose. edinburgh would give me a fancier degree, though, but i'm not sure if i'd like their course as much.

# i applied to durham.
it's nice. but york's nicer. but durham's a better uni, i think.

# york city looked nice,
but york uni (from what i could see in the prospectus) looked like a big concrete doodad. i wasn't too keen on the course at york.

# york
don't even do law.
And Edinburgh do silly Scottish law.
Won't it be funny if we're at Durham together.

# too right, there's too many lawyers
and if there's going to be more, they need silliness.
