
99.9% of CERTAIN it'll be edinburgh or durham (newcastle's only 10mins on the train, before you point out how small it is, and i'd rather have that nice quiet separation and only have to go to the big city when i want to).

i was in edinburgh for an hour in august and thought, yes, it really is very very lovely. so i need to go and visit the university in january or so when they make an offer so i can choose. edinburgh would give me a fancier degree, though, but i'm not sure if i'd like their course as much.

it's nice. but york's nicer. but durham's a better uni, i think.

but york uni (from what i could see in the prospectus) looked like a big concrete doodad. i wasn't too keen on the course at york.
