1) reset it (play+menu)
2) when apple logo comes up press rrw,ffw and middle button (ie all buttons across the middle) for 5 secs and this brings you to the debug menu...the scroll wheel won't work here so to advance/back you need to use ffwd/rwd

the 5 in 1 test will test all problems
