# Hehe like it! To avoid a threadwaste...
Over the summer I managed to drop my weight down to 220, which, considering my height and build, meant I was pretty slim. Recently I've been adding on a few pounds here and there due to overeating and binging on junk food. I went and bought some healthier food at the store earlier along with a big bag of gumdrops. I've eaten nearly the entire bag, and decided to glance at the Nutritional Facts. I've just eaten 2000 Calories worth of candy in the past 2 hours!! I might have to take up puking as a hobby...

# don't
i had a friend who did that.
nearly died.

# good god!
in GUM DROPS?!?!
now i'm afraid of what i've eaten today. i went off my diet hard and ate a dozen jalapeno poppers, half a bag of cookies, a box of macaroni, a huge slab of cake, a scoop of ice cream, and a smoothie.

let's be bulemic together!
edit: that's not funny now that i look up. D:

# Exercise an extra 15 minutes tomorrow.
Today I ate (checks food diary)

2 tacos
1 chicken meal with stuffing and potatoes
1/2 a block of cheese with Branston pickle
A toffee crisp
A crunchie bar
A dairy milk.

/english food shop binge

# pardon my yank-itude
but what the hell IS branston pickle?!
(, Tue 16 Dec 2003, 7:52, archived)
# it's brilliant.
cheese, ham and branston pickle sandwichees are THE BEST (almost)
(, Tue 16 Dec 2003, 7:54, archived)
# It's the best thing invented.
Ever.

# it's brown
and wet and tangy. and has square lumps of... stuff in it that are even tangier.
I'm not sure what they are, and it's vile stuff when eaten on it's own.

But slap it on some cheese and slip that between a couple of slices of bread and it's quite nice.

# judging by your name
i'd wager you'd be an expert.

# pickle on cheese on toast?
an interesting combination of hotness and coldness...

would probably be a bit grim.
(, Tue 16 Dec 2003, 8:18, archived)
# okay...
i just found this, and now i'm even more intrigued. one medium swede?
(, Tue 16 Dec 2003, 8:22, archived)
# Yes
a swede who can commune with the spirits - essential ingredient. (badum-tish)

I didn't realise it had garlic in it. And Worcester sauce. Worcester sauce has fish in it (well, anchovies if they can be classed as fish, evil little bastards that they are).

Thinking about it, it is a unique sort of substance. I suppose the closest thing taste-wise would be picalilly, if you've ever had that.
(, Tue 16 Dec 2003, 8:31, archived)
# i can't even fathom what that is.
i feel like such a redneck.
(, Tue 16 Dec 2003, 8:32, archived)
# it's like pickle
only bright yellow and has great big wads of cauliflower in it.
I feel like I'm sinking into the surreal world of pickled comestibles now, so I'll stop.

And don't feel bad. I only found out what picalilly was about 6 months ago and they've been stocking it in supermarkets here for the last 20 years.
(, Tue 16 Dec 2003, 8:36, archived)
# that sounds like something my great aunt used to make
it was like a jar of spicy sweet mustard with huge chunks of cauliflower in it. i looooooveded it.
(, Tue 16 Dec 2003, 8:39, archived)
# yep, that's the stuff
(, Tue 16 Dec 2003, 8:44, archived)
# no - that is a perfectly acceptable combo in my mouth
it tastes very nice - you should also try mayonnaise.
(, Tue 16 Dec 2003, 8:39, archived)
# cheese and mayonnaise?
dairy overload!

Still not comfortable with this whole cold spread on hot cheese thing. But then I suppose it's not that much different to cold philadelphia on hot toast, or cold jam. Though jam and cheese would be horrible.

# 15 minutes?
If he can run 10 miles in 15 minutes, then yes. Otherwise it's going to be 90 mins to 2 hours. A normal-sized person would need to run most of a marathon to burn off 2000 kcal.
(, Tue 16 Dec 2003, 7:54, archived)
# Nah, he doesn't
have to burn the extra 2K calories, and there's not a lot he can do, but according to research it will make him feel better about it.
100% fact.
