TJ: ::techfeed:: - what do you think?

# erm,
i think its a website, i could be wrong though
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 15:46, archived)
# ok i'll rephrase it
"this is a website i am doing as part of a final project at university. any feedback on the design or navigation of the website would be appreciated"

# the fonts' a bit ugly,
i've always found "that" one quite amaturish and hard to read

(as for what it does/is, it does a good job)

# meh,
looking again, it's probably just that font (verdana, is it?) in bold that annoys me
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 15:51, archived)
# thank you, most appreciated
what font do you think would look better? (anything but times new roman)
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 15:52, archived)
# anything not as strong, with the bold it looks a bit too much,
i know css gives you a lot of options for boldness, but if i remember correctly, only "not bold" and "bold" have any really difference
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 15:53, archived)
# no bold
sorted now.
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 15:57, archived)
# aha, much easier on the eyes
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 15:58, archived)
# although i found half the bold tags
were in the php and not the css.

not bad considering i didn't know sql/php last week

# Comic Sans?

# i think
times new roman would look best

# I would really like to see a picture of your droopy tash
so far I've had to content myself with an artist's impression:

(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 15:56, archived)
# comic
sans
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 15:57, archived)
# try getting it to work on a mac though
:)

# It's not like beagle 2's going to hear you...
Sadly, due to a medical condition* I was unable to spazz, and was therefore unaware of band wagonage. Damn.

*Congenital laziness.

# i don't mind bandwagons
as long as the images are good and the idea original. as that was. what is annoying is someone pasting snoopy on to the mars surface, as a 500K bitmap
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 15:51, archived)
# Fair enough
I'm not a fan of band wagons m'sen, but seeing as I barely post owt, I've no grounds for complaint.

On the great font debate, I have little to add other than this: georgia has been wanked over today by our web design types. Take that as you will. Site looks nice, otherwise.
