# not really.
everything in the frame seems to be moving the same distance, and therefore it has no perceived depth. The further away something is, the less it should move.

# Still
it looks nice :)

# I see.
So is it a matter of moving layers about? I'm at a loss as to how to do it?

# The best way to do it
is to take a photo, move your camera an inch to the left, but make sure you keep the same height etc. as best you can, and take another picture. Load those pics into your computer and make a GIF out of them.

To turn a 2D picture into a "shimmering stereogram", split it into layers. Move the back layer left a tiny bit, the layer in front of that a teensy bit further and so on. Save that as frame 1. Then use Undo to put all the layers back, and move the back layer a teeny tiny bit right, and the layer above it a little bit further, and so on. Save that as frame 2.

WOO to you!

# maybe try: cut out the
hippo, slide it to one side a little,
then fill in the gaps.

Or fill in the gaps and paste the hippo
back slightly shifted.

This is far from perfect, but you'll get
the general idea.

He's a space hippo, out in space! How much further could he get?
