
but how do I convert a movie file to a gif? because i cant do it and its getting annoying! Do I need to have flash or something similar. Id rather something i can just download.

i do it by loading the file into a blank movie maker project and saving as avi. then open in p/s and save as gif

open movie maker then import video
uncompressed avi should load direct into image ready :)

uncompressed avi should load direct into image ready :)

.mov and .avi files into Imageready if you have Quicktime installed. You can then optimise and save as a .gif.
I'm fairly sure other .gif animators will let you import movies, but I have only really used Imageready in depth.

i got it, installed it, but when i open any exe (of which there are many) it just gives me a series of messages with command meanings then closes
