# Hail Lazee b3tans.
I was just about to shop an F5 footpedal when
I found this:
www.keytools.com/keyboards/footpedal.htm

# oh my word!
it was worth the wait

/spazzes - i'm getting one!

# nope
i have a flash latest model mouse with a couple of extra buttons, so i assigned F5 to one of them

# ditto
keep forgetting to use it though
(, Tue 20 Apr 2004, 14:28, archived)
# me too but it doesn't realy make it that much easier
i sit with one hand on the keyboard and one onthe mouse and it's just a single finger movement either way

# i usually
don't rest my hand on the keyboard, but always have my right on the mouse, so it's easier for me

# plus the right hand is coffee drinking hand

# i don't drink coffee
i just fall asleep just when the board is picking up

# Excellent!
Not only is that a top find for all us RSI ridden f5 monkeys but I can cite that as another alternative input doohickey in my upcoming HCI exam.

# Don't forget to mention head dobbers.

# What
seems like a lifetime on b3ta means that I will never forget head dobbers. Eg "Seamless - what d'you draw with, a head dobber?"

# Hah! I once did a temping job audio-typing
which I'd never done before... I spent the whole morning pressing stop-rewind-play-stop-rewind-play on the tape-machine thingy and thinking "goddamnit why don't they make these things with foot pedals, it'd be so much easier"...

then I kicked something under the desk and had a look... it was a foot pedal.

# Arf.
Sewing machines have them too. You did know that, didn't you?
(, Tue 20 Apr 2004, 14:35, archived)
# Indeed I did.
Still wondering why they don't have foot pedals in cars though, it'd make them so much easier.
