# Import them
into flash.

Select how many fames a second you want, set the canvas size to the same size as the imported video and export as a movie to gif.

At least thats how I do it.

# yeh, but that's cos it was 24 fps
256 colour 100% dither 0 lossy. This sounds like a challenge... let's see what I can get it down to.

# probably

Do you have a choice of how many frames a second you want to import when you import it into Image Ready?
(, Wed 5 May 2004, 4:47, archived)
# i tried
but all i got was 600 blank, white frames
(, Wed 5 May 2004, 4:50, archived)
# it seems picky
I had no success with mpegs, but a cinepak avi seems fine.

and yeah, you can choose to import every 2nd, or every 3rd frame and so on..

# How does the filesize compare?
(, Wed 5 May 2004, 4:35, archived)
# to the mpeg?...
reasonably close I suppose.
