If you want your picture to be on the board a long timethen post it at 3am.
Nobody has any right to a certain amount of time on the board - you post and you take your chances.
In fact, I would rather have my work pushed off the board by somebody talking nonsense, than by somebody saying, "Reposted, because nobody was about at 3am this morning." That, to me, is a lot ruder.
