# hehehe, sorry! =)
(, Fri 2 Jul 2004, 4:56, archived)
# I have said it before
and I will say it again - there is no such thing as a threadwaste.

I would love it if that word got filtered out of b3ta. Along with pearoast.
(, Fri 2 Jul 2004, 4:56, archived)

answer: the leash goes slack!
(, Fri 2 Jul 2004, 5:14, archived)
# I have not heard your
stance on this before, Bob. Why do you not think it is possible to waste a thread? I understand that this is a place to share and laugh and chuckle, but is not it preferable to include a picture (original, own work etc)?
(, Fri 2 Jul 2004, 5:03, archived)
# It's a messageboard
and people are allowed to post messages - regardless of what that message contains.

It's never been an official rule of b3ta that you cannot start a thread without a picture or link - it seems to be a made up rule that has self-perpetuated itself somehow.

It even got to the stage where the FAQ was updated to say it's OK to start a thread without a picture.
(, Fri 2 Jul 2004, 5:11, archived)
# yeah, but when someone spends ages on something
and gets it pushed down before anyone can comment, due to people saying "teaspoons" and stuff, that's plain mean!
(, Fri 2 Jul 2004, 5:13, archived)
# If you want your picture to be on the board a long time
then post it at 3am.

Nobody has any right to a certain amount of time on the board - you post and you take your chances.

In fact, I would rather have my work pushed off the board by somebody talking nonsense, than by somebody saying, "Reposted, because nobody was about at 3am this morning." That, to me, is a lot ruder.
(, Fri 2 Jul 2004, 5:20, archived)
# yeah, reposts are irritating..
i do agree with you in a way

argh! 5:30am!
