well the answer isdon't be too fussed trying to get one and enjoy the nice surprise when it happens unexpectedly.

Reposting for attentionis never really all that likely to work.
Plus all the moderators are individuals with different senses of humour, who find different things entertaining. There is no formula or specific criteria to getting on the frontpage - it's totally arbitrary and down to the mood of whoever is moderating at the time.
You shouldn't post because you are hoping to get a frontpage, you should post because you want to make pictures and show them to people. As Fnord says above, getting a frontpage is a nice bonus when it happens.
