it usually chops the ends off when you make mp3's of things. I also have the problem of getRight automatically starting up a download window for any background mp3's instead of just playing them.

I have cut a third out of an old wav (220k), reduced to 8-bit, Mono....and the file size is still 200k?

was compressed as an mp3 or something, I don;t really use compression on wavs themselves sorry.
