although normally i would go for
the proper british way, for some reason I feel that "asshole" has more impact than arsehole. I think its the ss in ASShole, it sounds more offensive.

I usually pronounce...
aluminum as "al-we-spared-your-sorry-asses-from-the-fate-of-speaking-german-ium". That didn't come out as being a tad harsh, did it?
But I do understand what you're saying though. Most of us Americans aren't the best behaved. That goes doubly for American tourists and triply for the old tourists. Rather than be bitter about it, I do my best to change the image a little.
