Selling debts? Is it me or does that sound strange?

Anyway, I knew a lass who rented a house and then found she couldn't get a loan or anything cos the person who used to live there had a bad debt and never paid it off. Seems debts live with the address and not the person at times.

but yes, that's the function of a debt collection agency. they trade debts, they take your sofa.

She was chasing down that letter to send to credit agencies. I think she wanted to get a double bed cos she only had a single (no! everyone should have a double bed!) only to find no-one would sell her one cos "she had a bad debt". 'Cept it wasn't her debt.
