are little text files that some web pages save onto your computer. They're only allowed to be plain text, so they don't pose any threat to you in terms of viruses. The one in your screenshot gets erased from your computer as soon as you leave my site.

automatically sets a session cookie each time someone visits. I use cookies in some places on the site, but even if I didn't, you'd still get that pop-up because of the session cookie. As you can see though, it expires at the end of the session, so I don't think it's really too much of a problem for most people. I am sorry if it put you off though, I want people to enjoy my site :)
