What program

do you use to stitch them together?

I've tried Canon's offering and Photoshop's, both seem to need a lot of work afterwards.

This is the only one even worth considering. It's not free, but it's a fraction of the cost of some of the others, and does a really excellent job.

Never heard of that one, will give it a go... hopefully no more endless hours messing around with layers, blending, len distortions and perspective, yada yada!
