# Threadjack!
Does anyone know of a program I can use to record short clips from my DVD ROM?

I have WinDVD which only lets you take still images, as far as I'm aware.

# WinDVD
I have trouble taking stills with WinDVD :(

I hit print screen, but it comes up funny in photoshop, and sometimes the image shows whats playing in the background, i.e. it keeps moving.

Resizing or moving just shows a different section of the dvd players window.

strange non?

# There's a button
to perform a screen capture in the win DVD toolbar, or hit P, it then saves a BMP in 'Captures' in the WinDVD folder.

Print Screen caused me similar problems with other players.

# doom9.org
as grabbing clips means trying to copy bits of the protected DVD (stills are ok)

should find something there

# Cheers.
I'll have a look when I'm not behind a firewall.
