Pretty much anywhere in Europe when I worked over thereif you walked into a bar and said 'a beer please' in whatever language
zone you where in (you learn the basics!) you got a Stella, for the
equivalent of about a pound a pint! This was about 8 years ago though,
but still, makes me laugh that it's considered 'posh' here!

like all the continental beersi have lots of european friends and they laugh at our prices, and think the beer we sell from their countries tastes like piss.

I worked as a stocktaker, placed all over Europe, mainly working with Belgians, fun job!Once we got a job in Woolworths in London, I warned EVERYONE to
stock up on beer and smokes (they ALL smoked!) but they all were
derisive in a 'you English and your stupid obsessions' way. Then at the
end of the first working day, they were HORRIFIED when they went to
some cigs out of a pub machine, then DISGUSTED by the beer, then the
bar closed!! I sat there smiling saying 'Well, I DID warn you' smugly! :D

Make it with the grain, not the syrups and extracts.More hassle, more mess, but 500x tastier and much more satisfying as you can experiment more. Just made my third batch of 'Biohazard' honey beer. mmm,

hmm,small amounts might be nice. Some beers have fruit juicess added like passion fruit. I was toying with adding roast hazlenuts into a beer and calling it 'The squirrel's nuts'
