of all the things i use
I *never* use exposé - which is also why i don't like the new mouse. I love mac's, but they really can't make good mice...

yep.
same silly (pretty) shape as the other mice, but with buttons on the side - which you end up pressing all the time and accientally exposé-ing.
The mouse is the wrong shape for your hand, so you end up putting pressue on the sides to move it. When you do that you click the side buttons by accident. I have an ugly microsoft mouse, which i love. It fits my hand and I've *never* pressed any of 4 the buttons by accident.
but there you go. I love my g5 and my ibook though.

my other half has one

I believe
you can reconfigure what the mouse-buttons do. (I don't have a mac to check, but I'm pretty sure I saw a screenshot of precisely this.)
and microsoft make wonderful mice.

you probably can but
if you don't want to click the button, you don't want to click it, regardless of what it does.
(unless it would randomly wipe out a local kid every time i clicked it - that would be cool. They are all satans children round here)

so make the
left hand pain-in-the-ass button for pr0n and the right one for local child killing and you're set! hell, maybe even add another button for beer delivery.

indeed
but am i right in thinking bouth pain-in-the-arse buttons do the same thing? on the config example they're linked to the same drop down menu.

not sure
cause the first thing i did was switch that odd bubbly looking mac mouse for the USB windows mouse i had for my craptop.
even if they DO do the same thing, why not make it so that the one button does all three. that way you get porn, beer, and one less annoyance all at once!

^ this
I`ve a wireless keyboard/mouse at home and those side buttons are a right pain in the arse, even just for the physical clicking when it`s been told "don`t do anything if I press you"
we should all get VR helmets and Power Gloves like Lawnmower Man

get get a mac mini
hook it up to your existing monitor, and get a decent USB keyboard/mouse
/waiting on next big build of Ubuntu Linux to see if its hardware support is better, and failing that will get a Mac Mini and use the Windows box as a VNC server for Windows-y stuff
