I've had a mouse visiting the past few nights. I asked my neighbor to lend me hers for a few hours but she didn't like the thought of it catching mice. I told her it only had to corner it and I'd do the catching, but no.

so they can lie down on our backs and sleep (my pume does this about half the time when she's on your shoulders and you bend down to let her walk off on to a table or some such).

it took me many years to try and replace mine. in the end, all it took was a trip to a home where a mom-cat had some kittens and two plaintive mews to hook me again. and really, i'm very glad they're here.
