What do you mean by the town?
Most of Liverpool is in there, offices and so on. Where were you trying to get to? (That is, if this wasn't just an excuse to enter the B3TA competition)

Old Swan

Steven Gerrard
Is from Kenny. And that Wayne Rooney who plays for Everton is from Toxteth. Two individuals who would definitely be nicking hubcaps if they weren't playing football

I keep getting called "Stockey from Tockey"
It does mean I get no trouble walking through town on a saturday night. I think they think I'm a doorman.

what i'm trying to say is...
that if i live at point C, and I have to get to the city centre (the black splodge), it takes further (on the orange line), than if they were to re-locate the city centre to the actual / physical middle of the city (the pink splodge) ... the green line is shorter. see diagram below...

the funny thing about PORTS is that they do best near the SEA. Do you see?

I dunno,
have you any proof of inland ports that failed? Ergo they must be 100% succesful!!!
[edit] I'm now thinking of doing my dissertation on inland ports being 100% succesful as no-one can prove me wrong

yes but
nobody actually uses them anymore, it's not like the 1000's of people who work in offices / shops etc in the black dot, couldn't do there job perfectly well if they were situated at the pink dot, which is closer to their home. :)
