And Hitler was frankly amazed when they refused his offer of sharing Europe with Germany. As for GB being destroyed? They bombed the slums of London and most of Coventry, that's long been regarded as a good thing.
Commonly racism is frowned upon here but it is extremely prevelant in the south and in a number of political parties.

We here in the states for some reason think we own racism. Though strangely enough, it is ALSO prevelent in the south...
