# Rolfmao
Anyone else think the danish newspaper was a bit stupid to publish the pictures anyway? They have been over-reacted to but some reaction was going to be expected.

# I lived in Scandinavia for 4 years
the majority of people are surprisingly right wing, so this doesn't surprise me at all.

# its a bit like allowing neo nazis to give speeches or to meet.
We may think its damn stupid and fucking offencive, but well free speech and all. We can just ridicule their backward thinking.

# I think
everyone is being manipulated into choosing a position. Eg I-am-offended-by-the-images, or I-am-outraged-that-you-threaten-my-freedom-of-speech...nice cartoon views for squaring up as big teams with homogenous identities. Makes me think of propaganda about the hun bayonetting babies at start of WWI (gets everyone nice and wound up, truth irrelevant, hello violence and conflict). Wow, humans eh, what a triumph of evolution.

# Freedom of speech
doesn't mean you have to print/say anything that will offend a lot of people. It just means that you can if you really want to.

Like I wouldn't necessarily have to call Tony Blair a cunt to his face, even though I would because he is. I have the freedom to do so but won't necessarily use it.

Another important point is that the freedom of speech does not also give you the right to be listened to. The BNP are a racist bunch of twats. They have the right to say what they want but I also have the right to ignore the hell out of them because they are a racist bunch of twats.
