tomorrow? god knows...
checking my playlists this week I have been mostly listening to
( in no particular order ) Hed Kandi twisted Disco, Hed Kandi Deep yearmix, Buddy Holly the definitive collection, James Millionaires, Jamiroquoi Dynamite, A Tribe called Quest and as always at least once a day something by David Sylvian. I too have eclectic tastes but I'm not totally out of touch for a 40 year old ( I'm thinking anyway, but I seriously have lost touch with many of these new bands in the 'kaiser chiefs' mould. Simply because they are shite.

ha ha there is indeed a lot of shit around at the moment
thought I do like the Kaisers they are grating a little now.
I do enjoy a good bit of buddy holly now-and-then, saw the buddy holly story in london years ago, knew nothing about him until then and came out of the show and bought a CD.

I disagree!
There's some ace stuff around at the moment, you just have to dig a little deeper to find it - mainly because there is so MUCH shite being pumped out by the major labels, the diamonds in the mud are getting more and more overlooked.
New stuff by Six Organs of Admittance, Mono, Gravenhurst, Apothecary Hymns, Future Kings of England and Terracid have all been burning my bunsen of late. And next month I'm off to see nearly all my favourite bands playing under one roof in the US, so I'm certainly not complaining! Woo!

The Secret Machines!

it's just not my bag man!
I'm more into Jazz and Acid funk/fusion plus what is fast becoming known as "Disco" these days so I'm more of a fan of Mousse T, Kush, Solasso, Suzanne Palmer, Bob Sinclair etc. I really tire of all this recycled Seattle grunge that is going around. Franz Ferdinand are a prime example. What fuckwit ever told those guys they a. had any talent and b. sounded pleasant. It was shite in the 90's but at least there were not 1001 bands doing it as there seem to be now? White Stripes? Is it any wonder I collect guns? There will be need of a cull soon!

Not meaning to be offensive or aloof
but you'd not last five minutes in my house. That kind of music is the sort which I particularly dislike. Almost as much as country music.
But each to their own. I don't tell people what they should listen to ( just snigger behaind their backs at the fact that they are ignorant philistines ;))
My nephew loves Linkin Park and plays nothing but when he visits. Drives me bonkers, I hate the shite.
Currently on the gramaphone ;) is some smashing Prefab Sprout.

Each to their own really isn't it
I'll listen to pretty much anything really, even country if in in the mood (although I don't like to admit it too much)
