# Crikey.

Note: Ivy and Harley have a thing going in the comics :)

# yes they do

# Oh, I knew YOU would know…..
…I was mentioning it for the heathens that don’t worship at the local comic shop on a regular basis.
:D

# We found the best comic shop ever in Amsterdam.
Shame I can't remember the name or where it is.

# AMSTERDAM TENDS TO HAVE THAT EFFECT ON ME TOO :0

# AMSTERDAM HAS TWO FAMOUS DISEASES- STONEDNESS AND CAPSLOCK.

# yeah
this new keyboard is rubbish
i keep catching the capslock key by accident
(, Wed 25 Oct 2006, 15:12, archived)
# That's it, blame the hardware.
Actually, I hate all keyboards apart from this one *points*. Especially those 'ergonomic' ones that are split into two at angles.... cunts. HOW IS THAT EASIER?

# Whenever I'm in a comic book shop I'm just trailing behind Himself.
He's humming and ahh-ing, and I'm just looking at the pretty artwork. *Sigh*.
(, Wed 25 Oct 2006, 15:13, archived)
# Unfortunately myself and the boo are comic geeks, so we both excite each other even further.
He has a meeting tonight with our local 'link into the industry', it's all very exciting. Obviously it's a shit business (creme brulee) but he wants a bash, so bashing he is.

# It was better over the Summer when I was practically living with him...
... as I could dutifully trot out with him, get them and read them after him.
But now it's not as easy, but he has re-lent me the Watchmen, which I like a lot.
(, Wed 25 Oct 2006, 15:23, archived)
# I'm currently reading some Johnny the Homicidal Maniac stuff that afriend lent me
But I'm not a huge fan for it.

I might re-read Arkham Asylum when I get home though, it's such a beautiful piece. I've also just bought him a compendium of 3 Silent Hill stories that are absolutely stunning.
(, Wed 25 Oct 2006, 15:32, archived)
# Yes. *Nods and appears to understand*. :P
(, Wed 25 Oct 2006, 15:34, archived)
# Well buy Arkham Asylum because it's fucked up batman and it's all properly painted
and gorgeous.

seriously, it's just a pleasure to look at.
(, Wed 25 Oct 2006, 15:38, archived)
# Damn beautiful.
I've only got the softback, but my mate's got the hardback ultimate edition with the original scripts (they're messed).

You want me to bring it Friday Caro?
(, Wed 25 Oct 2006, 15:40, archived)
# I've only got the softback too, but it's enough for me!
although I'm sures ours has scriptage in the back. I shall have to double check but I'm sure of it.

We've got to grow up sometime, I bought an antique welsh dresser to show off our transformers collection.....

Oh, you may be interested in the silent hill comic tryptich thing, it's absolutely glorious. I've only played the first game but I enjoyed it and my lad's an obsessive (we have all the games, all the soundtrack CDs, a robbie the rabbit t shirt and a seal t shirt....)

it's on Amazon- search under Silent Hill: Three Bloody Tales: Three Scary Stories v. 2 (Paperback)

# i don't have one near me

# There's a comic shop in Oxford that doesn't understand the whole concept of
'leave valuable comics in the window, lose money when they bleach'.

Silly bastards.

# silly fools
archive comics are not for display and handling by common types.

I get told off by slipping them into the anti- dust bags at the wrong angle.

# I love
that shop.

I got my Sam and Max hit the road omnibus-book-thing and my Sandman set there. And never bothered to go back for fear of becoming ultra-insta-poor.

I assume my choices of purchase are some form of sacrelige/n00b alert. They usually are.
(, Wed 25 Oct 2006, 15:26, archived)
# Nothing wrong with Sandman
I've not read any but that's only out of laziness and re-reading of Preacher. My fiance says it's a good series and he has good taste.

Happy b3taday!
