I don't quite get what you mean. If you pay a couple of quid now you get the new icons, plus the icons already available to you.

The only one I really 'like' is the Zippy one, and he creeps me out enough for me to never want to use it...so donating would just be for the gesture rather than actually getting to use new icons, which I'd been looking forward to.

Yeah. I'm surprised they chose so few.
And that they're all so similar in terms of . I loved TGA's Deathstar, and (of course) my Optimus Prime rocked.
I think people will need something they identify with more than their current icon in order to switch. I'm a tad too young to appreciate the new set I guess.
