# 70 murders a day in the US
extrapolating I would guess that it can't be every day as most murders are of adults, [EDIT: and they'd not all be gun deaths either] Shirly.

You accept though that a mass murder is more horrific than a single murder.

an individual murder is a horrible sadness, but a spree multiplies that.

# Actually
I think most American murders are youths. Gang members having a life expectancy of about 25 and all that.

They also reckon that at any one time there are about 9 active serial killers in the US.

# Some don't get caught, some give up their killing spree
some murders never get linked or detected etc.

Obviously it's only a statistical guess, if they knew for a fact then they'd just go arrest them.

# there are lots of things wrong with this world
not the least of which is America.
It treats it's own population with didain unless they have lots of money, is intensely hypocritical about morality and yet believes itself to be some sort of paradise

it is no surprise to me that it treats the rest of the world so badly, it is only a surprise that it is confused when people openly express hatred for their regime

"One death is a tragedy. A million deaths is a statistic".
