# Because I had
previously bought PS CS2, Illustrator CS2, Acrobat pro 7 and Macromedia studio 8 I qualified for an upgrade ( they have two tiers of upgrade, 1 product or multiple products/suites ) and so saved a bit of money but I seriously think this will be the last time.

I plumped for Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium and I am now the proud owner of the following

For the princely sum of £599 plus £125.79 VAT coming to £724.79. That is remember on top of what it cost me to buy my previous versions.
I can afford it and I like to support developers as much as possible but aI think this is the end. I've spent enough with Adobe over the last 10 years. I'm still waiting for my mail detailing my 'free gift' to claim ( no idea what it is ) as was promised when I registered the software on Saturday.

Sorry, rant over, as you were.

# hehe I know
to be fair I do get free access to e-seminars and can learn a lot from experts in direct contact meetings. I also get regular invites to seminars held around the country for personal training ( which I need but never use ). You can not get this any other way than having an adobe account and having your products registered. I might attend the online design meeting tonight actually

# it's all just stuff at the end of the day
it costs what it costs

they know that some folk are going to pirate it no matter what

so they just do what they do. make the most of the seminars and that and you can become famouse photosoup artiste innit :D

# I've got PS7 at home
and CS2 at work, and haven't noticed to much difference

/medium-experienced user blog

Edit: other than quite a lot of things now I come to think about

I think I might shut up and cook my supper

# There is not a massive leap from 7 to CS2 but the differences are there
going to CS is definitely worth it for people still using 5 which is no better than the latest Paintshop photo Pro XI ( new name for psp ). To be honest CS£ is very little different, so much so I find muself not even using it as I have not uninstalled CS2 yet ( too many plugins to migrate and annoyingly a lot that won't work with the new engine )

# I'll tell you what's different to version 7
it doesn't let you play with images of banknotes so easily

:D

plus the text warp tool makes making b3ta club badges easier

# I have a plugin which is perfect for that
puts a glass or plastic effect over any image whilst adding the correct displacement of the base image for the size of bevel you add.

Alien Skin Eye candy 5 Impact. The glass filter.

I've bought 11 products from Alien Skin and they only make 11. That's how much I'd recommend them.

# Ah!
oh well, I was hoping something free might pop-up, but thanks for responding mate. The zoological society, where I work, is a charity; it took a bit of work to get my immediate boss to get CS2* in (at the charity *one licence* price), i'm not going to get that past her

for b3ta badges..
;)
