that was really fucking bugging me! Closest I could find was "Strobe Effect" - which I was sure wasn't right.

Kinephantom: an illusion of movement, particularly in a shadow movement, such as that which occurs when the shadows of the spokes of a wheel are seen moving in the opposite direction from that of the wheel.
