the TV repear man can request you to stop smoking 3 hours before he arrives to fix your telly
i've been smoking solidly for 15 years and i haven't got cancer
occasionaly spending 15mins in a 'smoky smelling room' will not kill you
well, no more than that shitty diesel van he turned up in in the first place

Im not that Nazi about smoking usually
They're your lungs, do what you want. But recently I didnt drink/go out for over a week and when I was next exposed to cigarette smoke my eyes stung and my throat felt raw. That and my clothes and hair smelling of smoke are the two main reasons that I support the ban.
So if I was that TV repair man I would'nt be complaining about the cancer, just the stinging eyes etc.

Exactly
Smokers don't seem to realise how awful cigarette smoke is. It makes a non-smoker's eyes sting, their throat feel tight (or sometimes even hurt), it triggers coughing and makes them smell like a burning rat's rectum.
Unfortunately, there's too many smokers who have no respect for those around them. If more smokers actually gave a damn about where and when they lit up, there would be no need for a ban. I just feel sorry for those who DO smoke responsibly.
