# I love this style, very cartoony
I played about with thick outlines in vectors a while ago, never worked out as I planned though.

# Stumbleupon?

That chap's a long time b3tan, I thought you just got it from his profile.

# No
I figgered he was a b3tan, but didn't know.
Aren't I the l0z4r!

# cheers
I'm pretty happy with it :-)

# I like it
I would say that for the flame, specific to this pic, you should've not penned it in, but just had the outline,
then a low transparency brush in yellow/white for the glow.
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 23:04, archived)
# I think the flame might have been lost into the light green behind it
/2 pence
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 23:05, archived)
# Possibly
In the scheme of things, it works well with the style anyway.
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 23:09, archived)
# without the flame line
it looks like this

I'm in 2 minds about it now.
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 23:12, archived)
# Y'see
I quite like that, it's got a more natural look to me.
But like I say, it's a matter of personal style and preference.

# and with all the lines removed
it looks like this

# pfft
it's my first attempt at something serious. I'm normally just cutting and pasting crap together. Thought I'd do something 'interesting' for a change ;-)

Besides, I really just wanted to clean the original photo up. It was taken with a crap phone in a dark pub. I just liked the style of the picture and have never gotten around to cleaning it up.

# piss off. You are
an ace shopper. It's just that your skills lie more in the 'making me laugh my nads off' area as opposed to the 'ooh, arty' area.
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 23:12, archived)

# thanks
as I said, it's my first real attempt at 'art'. I'm a bit chuffed with it, and the edited versions after reading Darkside's comments :-)
