# TJ : can someone tell me how the nikon everyone keeps banging on about is better than the canon?

got one last week, love it. Compared it to the guy at works canon 400D, even he seemed to prefer the images from the D40 :o)

People only love Canon because it usually has better images "out of the box" but generally speaking Nikon make better, more solid cameras. And the image quality is just as good if you set the camera up properly. Plus if you want to be a wanker with white lenses then go for Canon ;)
